Sadly, today is the 18th anniversary of the death of our beloved friend Eric Carr.

We all miss and remember Eric for his devotion to his fans and his dedication and belief in KISS. He was a ferocious drummer with a gentle spirit. We all lost him way too soon.

Following the tour for the album Hot in the Shade, Carr began coughing up blood. Medical tests revealed what at first appeared to be manageable problems with his health[11]. Before long, however, he was diagnosed with an unexpectedly serious and extremely rare type of cancer - heart cancer. Carr underwent surgeries to remove tumors in his right atrium and lungs in an effort to restore heart function and prevent the cancer's growth. Carr recovered enough to fly to Los Angeles to be with the band to play drums, but they told him to go home and get well. He then cut off all communication with Stanley and Simmons. With aggressive treatment the cancer went into remission and Carr's health began to improve. However, not long afterwards he suffered from an aneurysm and was rushed to hospital. He survived this episode, but it was only a matter of days before he suffered a brain hemorrhage caused by cancer cells transported in his bloodstream to the head.[citation needed] Carr died on November 24, 1991, at the age of 41[12] (coincidentally the same date as Queen singer Freddie Mercury's death). In keeping with Carr's accessibility to his fans, his family decided to open his funeral service to the public, and reserved the interment as a private event.
Carr is interred in Cedar Hill Cemetery in the Town of Newburgh, New York.

he was an amazing drummer, a practical joker, an inspiration, a friend

KISS Alive 35 review

It was a saturday night in November, the 14th of 2009.
It was freezing cold and windy beyond belief, like a November night should be.
Where were you? I know where I was!
I was among 50,000 other British Columbians at the hottest show on the Earth.
First, Buckcherry came out and played a powerfull set.
But the night belonged to the true kings of the night time world.
As the stage was being set, a larger than life curtain was unveiled that boar the mighty KISS logo.
"VANCOUVER!
YOU WANTED THE BEST!
YOU GOT THE BEST!
THE HOTTEST BAND IN THE WORLD!
KISS!"
The curtain drops and out comes KISS just gliding through "Deuce"
Fans are screaming and for some, even crying.
Many have waited years to see the gods of thunder, and their dreams have finally come true.
After 2-3 hours of being rocked by KISS, fans return home to go back to their daily lives.
But this, was a concert, that won't be forgotten

Fireworks = Illegal

A few years ago, fireworks were made illegal in Surrey B.C.
Yeah, nobody really enforces this law, but holy crap.
C'mon kids, it's getting really annoying.
my friend's dog was actually puking beacause of the fireworks, and that's a little bit on the ridiculous side.
now this normally wouldn't bother me too too much, but it gets to the point where i cant even sleep.
there is no way i'm the only person that has to deal with this.

so if you're one of those cool kids with explosives, please, for the love of god, f#ck off
